We are an international music partner with offices in Amsterdam and Berlin.
We work together with brands and agencies to create music and sound concepts for moving images. We strive to be the go-to partner for the most creative and ground-breaking musical stories being told. ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Business Developer / Music Supervisor in Germany.
This means you will be the face of Sizzer in Berlin and beyond. You will be cozying up to our existing clients and go out and meet new ones. You are naturally interested in people, an honest and direct communicator and an emphatic listener. You don’t need a company business card, you ARE the company business card, quirks and wit included. You will be working independently at our Berlin office, with the opportunity of eventually leading and inspiring a team there.
You’re responsible for the handling of all the jobs you’ll inevitably be bringing in. You’re basically the best friend for the people we work with – both on the client side as within the company. You advise, you help, you plan, you troubleshoot, you talk, you laugh, you think ahead, and you work your ass off to get the best possible result.
A big part of the job will be creative thinking. You need to be able to not only think fast, but think ahead and, above all, think outside the box. You’re going on a journey with our clients, and we need you to not only follow them but also guide or suggest alternative routes. You thrive on coming up with wild, exciting solutions and taking everyone – both inside and outside the company – along for the ride.
If you have sales experience, that’s great! If you don’t have sales experience, that’s great too! We believe there are multiple roads to get where you want to be, and that less ‘conventional’ backgrounds have often built the character and determination we are looking for. If you believe you have what it takes, it’s up to you to convince us why. If you can clearly and enthusiastically explain to us why you’re the perfect fit for the job, we will listen closely.
The one non-negotiable requirement is that you are sincerely passionate about music. A background in the music or advertising industry is a big plus – Have you’ve been booking tours for your own punkband since the late nineties? Was your first thought after hearing the last ad your company produced: “Nice, but I have this obscure Hawaiian polka single that would have been the perfect soundtrack for this”? You are the person we want to hear from.
You’re able to work independently with an entrepreneurial mindset and will be working closely with our Amsterdam-based Head of Client Relations.
- Fluent in German and English
- Based in Berlin, or willing to relocate there
- Willing to travel often
- Familiarity with a German business environment
