Music Producer / A&R

At Sizzer we're looking for a Music Producer / A&R to join our team.

Full-time · Amsterdam

The Role

As a Music Producer / A&R at Sizzer, you'll be the creative engine behind our music productions, turning client briefings into powerful musical stories that live underneath film. You'll independently manage multiple productions simultaneously, from first briefing to final edit, working closely with clients, directors, editors and our roster of composers along the way.

Sizzer is a full-service music agency for moving image, connecting brands, agencies and directors with the right music and the right composers. We thrive on creative precision under pressure, and you'll be the one keeping every production sharp, on track, and true to the brief, even when deadlines are impossibly tight.

As our A&R, you'll also keep your ear to the ground, actively scouting new composers, producers and vocalists, and building the relationships that keep our talent roster growing.

About Sizzer

We are an award-winning, international full-service music agency headquartered in Amsterdam. Alongside our core team, we work with people across Europe and beyond, including Berlin and Milan, regularly coming together at our home base.

From Amsterdam, we collaborate with leading brands, agencies, and directors to craft music and sound that elevates moving image into emotional storytelling. Our work sits at the intersection of culture and commerce, helping brands like Heineken, Mercedes-Benz, Nivea, and Kia connect with audiences through music that truly resonates.

As a full-service agency, Sizzer operates at a high creative level, giving you the freedom to shape ideas, push boundaries, and create work that stands out. We believe in giving people space to experiment, take ownership, and contribute to making the world a more beautiful place through music.

Supporting you is a strong, experienced team of professionals across licensing, production, and research, enabling you to focus on building relationships, driving creative direction, and growing your business.

Sizzer is an open, entrepreneurial company, driven by a next-generation mindset. We are not built on rigid structures or fixed playbooks. This role is for someone who wants to take ownership, bring in their own network, and actively build on the company’s future, not just operate within it.

About The Role

  • You’ll independently oversee the creative process of the (multiple and simultaneous) music productions that are assigned to you. From briefing to final edit and everything in between: you’ll manage it all.

  • You’ll talk to clients, directors, editors and other stakeholders in the creative process. You’re able to both listen attentively as well as lead the conversation, and your authority and charisma makes a positive impact.

  • With the musical vocabulary you possess, you’ll effectively decipher client briefings and translate them into clear musical briefings for our composers.

  • You'll actively and continuously scout for new talent, always on the hunt for the best new singers, composers, songwriters and musicians to add to our ever-growing roster.

  • You’ll closely keep track of the progress of the productions that are assigned to you and always make sure that all - although at times impossibly tight deadlines are met. You are responsible for finetuning the composer's works throughout the entire process of creation, either by giving clear instructions or adding your own musical revisions.

  • You'll make sure that all created music is creatively edited underneath any given film, doing so with optimal impact and precision.

Who You Are

  • You possess 4-6 years of experience as a music producer and are experienced with the high-paced world of advertising.

  • You have proven experience with productions for moving images, either as a producer or composer for ads.

  • You are highly experienced with editing to film. You have the ability to come up with creative solutions for sync points and storytelling as well as creating new arrangements out of a variety of different tracks.

  • You are able to work at least 4 days a week from the Amsterdam office.

  • You have broad technical knowledge of music production and are highly proficient in at least 1 DAW (preferably Logic Pro). You have an extensive understanding of audio and sequencer software, the ability to create coherent and authentic sounds and the proper knowledge of a variety of different recording techniques.

  • Since a great deal of the job will include handling tight deadlines, working with eccentric composers and deciphering client feedback, you possess nerves of steel and the ability to keep a clear overview.

  • You have a very good understanding of music and musical language in general and are able to switch between and reproduce genres effortlessly and authentically. You understand what instruments are typically used in songs, you know common chord progressions, have a schooled ear for melodies, and the ability to quickly dive into certain genres / cultures to understand their musical characteristics.

  • You possess a large (international) network of vocalists, music producers, composers and recording musicians.

  • You bring positive energy and a team first mindset to everything you do, paired with an entrepreneurial drive to spot opportunities and take initiative.

What Do We Offer?

  • You’ll join an award winning, internationally recognized full service music agency, one of the leading names in music for brands.

  • You’ll be offered lots of responsibility and room for personal growth and development.

  • You’ll work alongside a highly skilled, globally connected team of producers, supervisors, and strategists who share a deep passion for music and culture.

  • A vibrant and warm office culture with a young, open-minded, and creative team that always goes the extra mile.

  • A fulltime contract with an appropriate remuneration based on experience.
